I am Rain (Njan Mazha) - A Dance Drama

This production strongly advocates the cause of preserving and understanding an ancient knowledge system that harmoniously integrated man and rain. The production invites audiences to reflect on one simple question: What happens when we stop listening to nature? About The Ninth Beat: The Ninth Beat is a collective of four Mohiniyattam dancers who believe that classical dance is not merely a tradition to preserve, but a language that must continue to respond to the world around us. We create performances that spark reflection, conversation and connection where art becomes a catalyst for awareness, empathy and change. Our approach to sustainability is embedded in how we create through thoughtful stagecraft, conscious material choices and responsible production practices. The Ninth Beat is where tradition meets contemporary imagination.
